Smart contracts are superior because they're immutable and unchanging. This means bad actors cannot change the "time stamp" (First Use) because it's permanently captured on the blockchain.

The name registered with this digital asset, on this respective date, is the beneficiary of all the rights and privileges granted by ISBNFT. The number below is the unique identifier associated with this registered digital asset.

Some collectors, creators, and authors also want us promote their IP on our channels, websites, and social media posts via tagging or linking. 4. What is an Easy IP™ QR Code?

QR Code is a two-dimensional version of the barcode, typically made up of black and white pixel patterns. They have found their way into mobile marketing with the widespread adoption of smartphones. "QR" stands for "Quick Response", which refers to the instant access to the information hidden in the Code.

Easy IP's proprietary process includes the integration of a customized QR Code with your respective Intellectual Property. Some examples of where this custom QR Code can be placed are on business cards, websites, signage, product placement, or the back cover of books. Each unique QR Code sends readers to the creator's Blockchain Verified IP Certificate, which proves ownership of the intellectual property via smart contract. It's an added layer of verifiability and visibility for the entire world.

People can scan your QR Code with their smartphone. When they open their camera app on their mobile phone and hold it over your code for a few seconds a notification pops up. This notification leads your readers to your Intellectual Property registered on ISBNFT.

6. What is a Complimentary Second Mint and Transfer of IP?

With the Owner Level, we display your original Digital Asset on our Smart Contract Portal. This is similar to the Library of Congress or Patent Office displaying your IP. This allows us validate you as the original owner. However we can create an additional Digital Asset of your IP or book cover and transfer it to you. To receive this, you must have a digital wallet. (With the Enterprise Level, your IP is displayed in your Customized Portal.) 

You may keep, sell, or transfer your NFT/Digital Assets as you see fit. You will receive a private form that allows us to capture your digital wallet information. We provide assistance on how to receive the transfer.

9. What is Library of Congress Control Number Application & Filing?

A Library of Congress control number (LCCN) is a unique identification number that the Library of Congress assigns to the catalog record created for each book in its cataloged collections. Librarians use it to locate a specific Library of Congress catalog record in the national databases.

The LCCN number differs from the ISBN number in that an ISBN is assigned to each edition or format of your book while the Library of Congress number is assigned to the work itself.

This is a two-step process and can take anywhere from one to two weeks to complete. Although obtaining an LCCN is FREE, the application and filing can be cumbersome and confusing for many authors. Some authors struggle and complete the application incorrectly. Other authors give up after several hours. As a result, we include the LCCN application and filing as part of the Easy IP author package. We pay our professional team to complete the application and filing correctly.

After we send the LCCN to the author, he or she is responsible to mail a physical copy to the LCC according to the simple instructions we provide as stated by the LCCN.

Frequently Asked Questions

• (1) What happens to my past IP, if I stop protecting new IP on the blockchain? Do I still need to continue monthly payments?

If you're not creating more IP then there is no need to pay monthly payments. The monthly payment is only necessary if you keep protecting new IP. You retain all your IP forever regardless.

• (2) What asset do I actually have, if I should I sell my company?

You own your IP represented in a digital asset, backed up by an immutable smart contract. If you sell your company then you simply TRANSFER the asset from your digital wallet to the new owner's digital wallet. Note: Experts believe in the near future all assets will have a digital twin and reside within your digital wallet. (See pic below.)

• (3) What if I want to turn my Easy IP™ Intellectual Property into a Patent, Trademark, or Copyright at a later date? 

Easy IP™ functions well as a "Pre-Patent" since it provides an immutable "First Use" of the Intellectual Property. This is achieved through our proprietary process through leveraging blockchain technology and smart contracts. As a result, proving "First Use" is super simple through your global and verifiable smart contract. This "time stamp" cannot be changed and altered. Many experts would argue its the most secure form of "First Use."
